Terms of Service

Last updated: 27 March 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the DRIFT Jira app ("DRIFT", "the app", "we", "us", or "our").

By installing or using DRIFT, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

DRIFT is a software tool that helps users compare Jira issues against source requirements, generate review outputs, and surface possible mismatches or requirement drift.

2. Outputs require review

DRIFT supports human review. Validation results, extraction outputs, and draft stories should not be treated as legal, contractual, compliance, or delivery guarantees.

3. Your responsibilities

You agree to:

  • use DRIFT only in compliance with applicable laws and your agreements with Atlassian
  • review app outputs before relying on them for delivery, contractual, or operational decisions
  • avoid submitting unlawful, infringing, or harmful content through the app

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to submit any requirements, Jira content, or other materials processed by DRIFT.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use DRIFT to:

  • violate applicable law or regulation
  • interfere with or disrupt the app or Atlassian services
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or data
  • reverse engineer, copy, or misuse the app except as permitted by law

5. Intellectual property

We retain all rights, title, and interest in and to DRIFT, excluding content that you or your users submit through the app.

You retain rights in your own content, but you grant us the limited rights needed to host, process, and display that content for the purpose of operating and supporting DRIFT.

6. Feedback

If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about DRIFT, we may use them without restriction or compensation to you.

7. Availability and changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of DRIFT at any time.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, specific uptime, or error-free operation.

8. Disclaimer

DRIFT is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the maximum extent permitted by law.

We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy of outputs.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, goodwill, data, or business opportunity arising from or related to DRIFT.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to DRIFT will not exceed the amount you paid for DRIFT in the 12 months preceding the claim. If you have not paid anything for DRIFT, our total liability will not exceed GBP 100.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to DRIFT at any time if necessary to protect the app, our users, or our legal rights.

You may stop using DRIFT at any time by uninstalling the app.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, excluding conflict of laws rules.

The courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
